LinkedIn content writer for consultants

Every consultant has the same fear about publishing, and almost nobody says it out loud.

If I explain how I do it, why would anyone pay me to do it?

The answer, which took us a while to believe

Nobody buys the method. They buy the judgement about when to use it.

You can publish your entire framework — the steps, the order, the diagnostic questions — and the people who were going to do it themselves were never going to hire you. What you've done is show the people who will hire you that you've thought about this more carefully than the four other firms they're considering.

The ones who take your framework and run it badly become referrals eighteen months later, when they've discovered which part they got wrong.

Holding it back doesn't protect anything. It just makes you indistinguishable from every other consultancy with a capabilities deck and a stock photo of a whiteboard.

What this replaces

You already do this work. You do it in proposals, in pitch meetings, in the long clarifying email you write at eleven at night to a prospect who asked a good question.

All of that is written once and read by one person.

The same thinking, published, is read by people you'll never meet who arrive at the first call already believing you're good at this. The sales conversation stops being a demonstration and starts being a scoping exercise.

That's the actual mechanic. Not leads — qualification.

The buying cycle problem

Consulting has a long, invisible buying cycle. Somebody decides they need help roughly nine months before they contact anyone, and then they contact three firms in a week.

You can't influence the week. You can only be in their head before it starts.

Which is why this doesn't work as a campaign and does work as a habit. Nine months of you having sensible opinions in public means you're one of the three. No amount of activity in the week itself gets you there.

What we write for consultants

The diagnosis, not the solution. "Here's the pattern I see in companies at this stage, and here's why the obvious fix makes it worse" does more than any case study.

The thing your clients keep getting wrong. You've watched the same mistake forty times. You've stopped noticing it's not obvious to everyone else.

The engagement you'd turn down, and why. Nothing establishes judgement faster than publicly declining work that a less confident firm would take.

And the unfashionable position. If your entire sector agrees on something and you privately don't, that disagreement is the most valuable thing you own.

The NDA question

Most consulting work is confidential. So is ours.

We write about patterns rather than clients. No names, no identifying details, no "a FTSE 100 retailer" that anyone in your market could decode in one guess.

We're strict about this because we're strict about it for you too. We don't publish client names, we don't run case studies, and we won't ask to use yours as a reference. If a competitor can find your ghostwriter's other clients in ten seconds, that ghostwriter isn't being careful enough with yours.

How it works

An hour a week with Peter. You talk about what you're seeing across your engagements — carefully, generally, with the names left out. We find the argument underneath it.

Naghmeh edits everything before it reaches you. Nothing publishes without your yes.

The Writing Partnership starts at £3,500 a month. Three months minimum, then month to month. We're not VAT registered, so that's what you actually pay.
